there is the new idea that the Mayan's settled in N. Georgia wher they mined gold, and found the specific type of rock needed, in great supply, to make the color known as " Maya Blue" one that has been found and is known to last extremely long without fading, a mineral that is NOT found in any great supply in Mexico…..it is suspected that they used boats and were great seafarers….which matches an earlier expedition's findings when searching fir evidence of the lost city of Atlantis in the area of the carribean near the Bimini Road….archeaological evidence of a previously unknown seafaring culture was discovered, but roughly 8000 years too young to be Atlantis….
