Dream Big

We all have the capacity to dream. It is a power we should definitely tap into. Our dreams are where we find the drive to live each day with purpose. Our purpose. Our Divine Purpose. I am not speaking of the dreams dreamt in sleep. I am talking of what we desire for our waking hours. Where do we want to be? What do we want to do? What kind of person do we want to be? How do we want to live?

Once we dream all of this up, then we are faced with the question of how do we get there.

First and foremost, you have to have confidence in yourself, and you have to have confidence in the Universe. It will always support you on your path. With that knowing you can go in confidence. Take a risk, but instead of seeing it as a risk, choose to see it as an opportunity.

Trust in those who encourage you, let them help. For it is together, with the right people, that we can tap into a power bigger than ourselves. Don’t bother with the ones who discourage you and try to keep you from your path. Only let them in on your plan after it is already finished, then there is no way for them to tell you that you can’t do it.

Make sure you are dreaming big. The mere thought of your dream should blow you away, at least a little bit. Remove any thoughts of limitation. There is nothing you can’t do. Let it come from a place of love. Harm no one. You may encounter those who take offense or get upset about what you do. This is their issue, not yours. As long as you aim to bring your light and your gifts to the world in a loving way, stand in that confidence that you are doing what is right for you.

If you are not sure what is right for you. Make a list of what you enjoy doing, things you want to do, and things you are good at. Examine them and see what you come up with.

Do not forget to DREAM BIG!

  1. Dreaming big!

First and foremost, you have to have confidence in yourself, and you have to have confidence in the Universe. It will always support you on your path. With that knowing you can go in confidence. Take a risk, but instead of seeing it as a risk, choose to see it as an opportunity.

This could easily be a daily mantra!

  2. I’ve been preaching this for

I've been preaching this for a long time, haha. All the while I tried to avoid calling it "dreams", because it is so much more than this and so much more imperative, if we acknowledge truthfully where it is meant to lead us to. Many of us are already there without knowing it, because this society infuses us- even inculcates into us- what we ought to dream of or what to desire. We are so actively coerced into dependency that we accept answers to questions we haven't even asked yet, topics that would never concern us, if we were permitted to embrace our true inclinations. We are meant to support each other and do so through all kinds of "occupations". Some of which require a strongly specified desire, like being an artist, scientist or philosopher, for example. Others only require vaguely defined desires toward the work itself and greater focus on the effect of our actions on others. Even a leader is of the latter kind and serves in the same chain of following. The prior types such as artists may not display desires of following, but serve just the same. What ever the action may be, directly truthfully and by love it is duty.

My favorite quote out of the Bhagavad-Gita comes to mind again, which I'm sure you'll enjoy, too. I'll have to paraphrase, I'm afraid, but the idea should come across:

"It is better to perform one's own duties imperfectly than to master the duties of another."

The important thing is to peel away all the indoctrinations, all the false idols and the wrongful motives we are being corrupted by. Don't ever think about yourself as you define your function, but think of what you can provide through your actions, your skills, your passions. If it is the reward the inspires you, you can be sure that you assume wrong. If you seek to be relieved of labor, you have not found your labor, yet. True satisfaction is never a result, but a driving force. Yet, always know when to rest and don't hesitate to reflect on your path thus far, if only to appreciate the manifestation you are part of.

Beautiful post, of course. Please, understand that I don't criticize, but try to compliment the wonderful reminder of yours.

    • Very Well Said!!

This came out mainly as a message to myself. I have just recently left what "I am good at that brings in a steady paycheck" to do the work I am meant to do. The work that I love to do. As i take on this adventure, leaving the fear behind, I move to grow and expand myself.

Your words are the perfect compliment to expand on what I needed to hear at the present time. The message that I have wrapping my head around, as it seems so much bigger than me. It has created this great openness, with a confidence and drive to take on the world leaving oceans of love in my wake. It was a scary leap of faith to take at first, but it was so worth jumping in with both feet.
