A Few Contemplations – Paul Twitchell

          Anitya

Anitya (ä' nī-yä) – Contemplation. To view, consider with attention a line from a poem, scriptural verse or saying and wondering what the author meant, what it means to the individual, and how it might apply to a given philosophy, as well as looking at it from a hundred differing ways, but never trying to hold it, force it, or to keep it, but instead to simply be interested in its meaning as it holds the attention. The thoughts that follow are meant to be used for the purpose of anitya.

Three Basic Truths…

1. We are the offspring and heirs of God. Therefore we inherit the power to mould the God power by the thoughts we think, which makes clear the Supreme Responsibility we must hold for our own thoughts.

2. What we think, if held to, comes to pass in our lives.

3. We learn by this experience and so become conscious children of God, and presently come into the "glorious liberty of the children of God…"

The Holy Spirit, Spirit, Shabda, Divine Power, ECK, all mean exactly the same thing. Whatever we draw from the Divine Spirit acquires in us the quality of beingness. We must enjoy the state of a calm and untroubled mind, in order for Spirit to use us as a channel. Just close thine eyes, and look into the spiritual eye. Wait for me (the Inner Master) to come. Then I shall take thee into the glorious sight of the river of God which is the ECK.

Principles of the Godhead, Reality:

1. Reality, which is designated as one, is an all-embracing unity from which nothing can be seperated.

2. IT, the Ultimate, is nameless, indescribable, beyond telling, and therefore anything said about IT is faulty.

3. Within the self, Ultimate is to be found and there is identity with Reality in the external world. In the Self are all things, all transcendant secrets, all divine blessings, all bliss, all love.
