There are people who will come into your life who will make you question things and yourself.
They will turn your world upside down. They leave a mark of before and after. They will change the trajectory of your journey and they may well disrupt the way you live your orderly life. They will make you feel alive in new and life-affirming ways; sometimes subtle, other times in ways that shake you to your core. They’ll challenge you and hold you accountable. They’ll teach you just by being who they are and they will change you through love, not judgment. We are all students and teachers, but these kindred spirits are healers and will bring you back to yourself even if their time in your life is short.
Earthly time is irrelevant. Sacred soul contracts like this are made eons ago. On the physical realm some will last, some won’t.
You can choose to run and hide and resist the soul work being called of you, but it will catch up with you eventually and the lessons will get harder. Sometimes ego, fears, and personality get in the way. And sometimes it’s hard to allow ourselves to be vulnerable and be truly recognized and seen. To be seen, honored and loved with all our shadows, darkness and complexities.
When someone is willing to show up for you like that it is a divine gift and rare occurrence. Do not push them away.
We can spend years with someone and not feel that uncommon sense of familiarity and intimacy. And others we may be inexplicably, gloriously connected to for a short while and yet their essence is forever etched in our hearts. The fire that has been ignited will continue to burn bright inside you both whether you are together or not. And sometimes we get lucky, graced or karmically-gifted. We stay, they stay, and together we craft a unique path of continuous growth, healing and new beginnings with the same person. There is no predictable design or script for the mystery and magic inherent in the divine friendships and love that show up in our life.
Stay open-hearted and receptive, risk, invite and pay attention to all the souls who show up on your journey. There are no accidents or “chance encounters.” Everything and everyone who shows up in your life has on some level been contracted to for some specific reason.
Helper souls show up to teach us how to live the marrow out of life and how to love and heal ourselves.
They may show up as both parents, partners, friends, lovers, and strangers. These dear ones show up as an invaluable gift and leave an eradicable imprint on your life. Do not grieve and mourn when either they or you have to leave. If the pull is strong you will find your way back to each other again-and sometimes love and the work simply runs its course.
No judgment, no expectations, no regrets and no attachment. Only love, awe, freedom and eternal, abiding gratitude. This is the divine foundation of sacred soul contracts.
