The Wolf You Feed … is the one who keeps coming back.
No one wants to deal with wolves, yet we all continually feeds these vicious, merciless beasts until they overtake us.
The wolves are your emotions — good wolves and bad wolves. Wolves are energetic constructs (emotional states) and they require our thoughts as food to fuel them. Our good wolves are the positive emotions of inspiration, passion, purpose, love and joy, etc.. The bad wolves are the anxiety, fear, anger, depression, and worry, etc..
It’s much easier to feed the bad wolves and think you are keeping yourself safe and away from harm. But it doesn’t work that way. The wolf you feed is the one who keeps coming back for more. If you continually feed negative emotions, those emotions will get bigger and bigger until they swallow you whole.
If you simply stop feeding negative emotions, they have to go somewhere else for fuel. If you take your energy off the negative emotions, you lessen the chances of getting eaten by the very wolves you were feeding.
It’s the law of attraction — you get what you think about whether you want it or not. The wolf you feed is the one who comes back for more. Ask yourself if you want that wolf in your life? If the answer is no, stop feeding him. When you take your thoughts off the things that upset you, you starve them and marginalize their influence over your life. Hungry wolves don’t hang around very long. When they realize there is no more food, they leave and most likely never come back.
