People are easily persuaded when a powerful emperor is in control. Constantine, who worked his way to sole rule over the Roman Empire, used murder, violence, overthrow and torture to get his way. While he manipulated the murder of his eldest son, Crispus, a year prior to establishing the Roman Catholic Church in 325 AD he was a tyrant of the worst kind.
Stories concerning him, like his religion, are grossly distorted as the establishment praises his actions. Revelation 13:13 -18 claims that he invented Jesus Christ and subsequently forced worship of the so-called Saviour at the point of a sword. His lust for power and control drove him on. The Empire he ruled was huge and too much for he alone to control. Revolts were constant and he, therefore, set up and used a Church dominated parliament of bishops to assist him and he remained in charge of it until his death.
It was called the Vatican because of the hill on which it is situated and it was built by Constantine. The bishops, in turn, controlled the priests who dominated parishes where worshipers of different cultures, tongues and beliefs were brought under his rule, usually in a violent manner. Forced to accept the Christian gods by bishops who had power over life and death many had no choice but to succumb.
The Popes, his eventual successors, are kings who rule an empire of his making.
There were no Christians prior to this time as Jesus Christ was put up by Constantine. While it makes a good story the idea of martyrdom for those who follow the doctrine is a church invention. The Catholic Church not only increased his power but delivered Constantine control over the world and the economy that drives it.
Christian denominations of all forms split from it and spread his power as they charged forth converting everyone to the faith. Jerome produced the New Testament at the end of the 4th CAD to bring stability to the religion. This was in conjunction with Augustine Bea, bishop of Hippo. The latter was charged by the Vatican with starting another religion to further credit the false prophet. It was also meant to enhance the virgin birth and shine light on Mary, the chief God of the establishment.
Revelation 17 claims that Mary is Babylon the Great and that it is a city that sits on seven hills. Rome sits on seven hills and it is Roma in Italian. Reversed that is 'Amor' and the Amors built and inhabited Babylon where the chief God was Mari, which translates as 'Mother's powerful light'. Constantine was a descendant of the Amors and an Islamite.
He is declared the second beast in Revelation 13:13 -18 where it states that he is 666. He was Constant II in English and in the Assyrian alphabet numbering system his name and number totals that amount. It also states that no one can buy or sell without that number impressed upon them and when one views the greed and horror in the world today it is easy to see why that is so.
From his effort there are now so many religions that it is almost impossible to cite them all. They include the many branches of Christianity and break-away doctrines along with several off-shoots of Islam that are spreading rapidly into ever country. While he died almost seventeen hundred years ago he still sits in control over the world he once ruled with an iron fist.
The jealousy between the various 'faiths' is creating wars and hardship and will bring this world to an end.
