Othila brings the bounty of the universe to us, but asks that we take appropriate action in order for that to happen. To do that you have to clean up and clean out. There is an old Viking saying: “It is better to stand and fight. If you run, you'll only die tired.” It seems in these times people are having a very hard time coping with life more than usual. For some every day is laced with discord and strife and for most it seems the world is spinning out of control. People are shutting down more and more. Hating one another because of political differences or belief systems runs rampant and it doesn't look as though it will be going away soon. These are the times to remember who you really are and pull yourself up by the bootstraps and without sounding cliche clean your house with a swift broom. Putting yourself in good order is the first step in fighting and not running. There are None Noble Virtues known to the Vikings - people who never gave up or backed down. Applying these to daily life - your life - can help you stand in adverse times. It is time to do the work.
