High Magick

Many books and grimoires will tell you that High Magick is for the sole purpose of personal transformation and that Low Magick is Magick used for material or worldly needs. I suggest that we define it differently in this day and age. High Magick is the art of using cosmic/divine energy in order to create change, balance and transformation. High magick tends to be more ceremonial but that does not mean it can not be shamanistic.

Basic Rules Concerning High Magick

As above, So Below AKA As on Earth as it is in Heaven. Everything done in the physical realm affects the etheric and visa versa.

TO KNOW - Understand your magical ritual

TO WILL- Use your will to cause, create and transform

TO DARE - Challenge yourself in order to be in touch with your higher self

TO BE SILENT - Shut up, dont brag, be humble, also the less you tell others about your ritual the purer and stronger your will and intent will stay

ALWAYS WORK MAGICK AND INVOKE/EVOKE ENERGIES IN THE NAME OF GOD

Nature is divine, dont be lazy cast a circle and call the quarters

The Triangle of Expectation

PICK TWO!!

The Triangle Of Expectation is a tool used by contractors and by the Modern High Magician. We dont live in caves and we have lives, families, and jobs. When performing a ritual we need to take these things into consideration. Also any good magical working takes time. Here are your options:

Fast and Good- Do your ritual in one shot, organize it, plan it and do it in one ritual, focus your will, use the proper energies and supplies and do your working all at once. It may take an hour of your time but the results will happen faster.

Fast and Cheap- Throw something together on a whim and do a quicky ritual. This approach is appropriate when you or someone is in immediate need. Keep it simple, an annointed candle and a note with a quick sigil will suffice.

Good and Cheap (Preffered Method)- Magick takes time, permanent change takes time. Cheap and good translates to well done work done over a longer period of time without taking much time out of our daily lives. This involves lots of preparation, selected planetary days and hours. This type of magical work can take days,weeks, or even months but the results are absolutely stellar and you will feel that your magical efforts have actually earned you something.

The Planets

When speaking about Gods and Goddesses in Magick we are making reference to planets and when making reference to planets we are actually making reference to planetary energy. In Mythology we have given these planets personalities and definitions and in magick we use the properties during ritual to access there power in order to strengthen the effect.

Here is the logic: We are a Microcosm of the Macrocosm. The i Am of the I AM, therefore we have all the energy inside of us that the universe has outside of us. Not only is this correlational, it's causational. When we make a change within ourselves our reality and environment also changes. If this isn't making sense then High Magick is not for you.

Now that I have made this make sense for you or insulted your intelligence (and you happen to still be reading) lets move on to the planetary days and what they correspond to.

Monday-Lunes-Moon

Beneficial time for cooking, having a meal, and also for washing, cleaning and other household chores. Good time for dealing with women, family meetings, nursing babies. Activities which were started in the Moon Hour will be prone to changes, dependent on peoples moods and emotions, so it is generally not advised to start anything of importance at this time.

Tuesday-Martes-Mars

The time for increased activity, for those pursuits which require determination, courage, physical efforts, for sport, for work with fire or sharp instruments. Sexuality is enhanced, but also the probability of a conflict is higher than usual. The good hour to attack enemies or to challenge competitors.

Wednesday-Miercoles-Mercury

Beneficial time for any intellectual activity, including study, teaching, research, taking exams, as also everything connected to receiving transferring or using any kind of information. Mercury enhances dexterity and resourcefulness, patronizes traders, but also thievs. Good time to start a short trip, to write a letter or report, to program, to chat, to send mail.

Thursday-Jueves-Jupiter

Beneficial hour for most affairs, especially those which promote richness, success and prosperity. Jupiter helps to accelerate development, widen the horizon, increase the level of understanding. Good time for social meetings, applying for benefits, sponsorship, dealing with rich, influential people, for the start of a journey, philosophical discussions and religious ceremonies.

Friday-Viernes-Venus

Good time for any meetings and acquaintances, but especially for dating or asking someone out. Beneficial hour for amusements, entertainment, having a party, going to a cinema or theater, to buy fashionable clothes or jewelry. Mutual sympathy between people is enhanced, which helps to find a compromise, to restore a broken relationship. Artists, painters, musicians can feel an inspiration in this hour.

Saturday-Sabado-Saturn

It is the time for those occupations and beginnings which require significant time, patience, concentration and perseverance, as also everything related to land and immovable property. It is not advised to start a journey at this time or to borrow money as in both cases delays and disappointments may spoil the matter. Good time to ask an advice of the elders, to cool down passions, to have a sober glance on the state of the matters, to get rid of a bad habit.

Sunday-Domingo-Sun

Beneficial for those pursuits which are aimed at gaining influence in society, fame, high prestige, as also for gaining confidence and self-reliance. Good time for applying to superiors or any important people, for example to talk about a career advancement. It is also an appropriate time to advertise, to make a presentation, to speak to a big audience.

   Simply apply this knowledge Magically and you know when the best time to work a spell is.
