Power happens to be the subject of many conversations on esoteric websites. Whether it be referring to abilities like psychic ability, control with astral projection etc. or the strength of a particular person.

     As a Magician, power is something I work to gain. Power is earned by practicing and perfecting an art or science, meditation and understanding as well as innate ability. Power is something to be respected by people, especially on sites like this one. BUT it also needs to be respected by the person who possesses it. 

     OK OK OK I will get to the point. I find it extremely disconcerting when I see people speak about power in terms of fear and threats. Power can be a lot like money, you can lose it or spend far faster than you earn it. When someone uses their power for harm it takes a toll on the person no matter how justified the action may be. Even boasting about how you can hurt someone with your own power has a price. 

     FYI  there is no way of tip toeing around this either. You can say "God did it through me" or "It automatically happened because I was so angry" until you are blue in the face and you will still not only have consequences but pay the price. On the other hand using your power for something good is rewarded. Each time I do a reading, a healing rite (even if it is for myself) or any other spell with good intentions, I can feel myself become closer to the absolute and become more powerful.

    Next time you hear someone say "That person is powerful. don't mess with them." feel free to giggle. Because if you actually have something to be afraid of that simply means that they can do loads of good for you and are not likely to ever harm you. 

    Powerful Magicians and Practitioners are masters of the art of defense. Not only because it is something we learn,but because our power actually protects us.

The point is. Powerful people are not to be feared, they are people you want to have as your allies and friends.
