The wolf in sheep’s clothing’s success is predicated upon the inability of the sheep to see through the disguise. The more gullible the sheep the easier it is for the wolf.
Our education system has morphed into a process where the sheep are educated to believe the wolf is their Savior.
Genesis 3
1Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”
4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
Explanations of the emphasis:
Any Tree: The serpent injects the phrase “any tree”. Genesis 2 shows God’s original command: “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” The serpent build his argument on a lie. God has provided that they ARE FREE to eat from any tree, but there is one tree they must avoid eating from or face the consequences of that actions.
And you must not touch it or you will die. Eve perpetuates that deception by adding they were not even supposed to touch the fruit.
In both cases we see adding to the words of God to change the truth of His word. While the command in Genesis 2 is given directly to Adam, it would be Adam’s responsibility to communicate this to Eve. It is possible to suggest that Adam, in communicating this to Eve added the “must not touch” part in a manner that presented his desire to stress something for her own good. Even if he didn’t, the importance of those added communicates that sentiment. This happens in church doctrines where requirements are added that are contrary to scripture or add additional burden on the believer not required by God’s Word. When This happens the church can not defend the indefensible making them easy targets for the serpent. They are then in a position where they must either admit the deception or perpetuate it. In most cases they perpetuate it. That perpetuation most often happens through silence. When they address the deception they state this is what we believe with no explanation of why and as such, make the sheep more accessible to the wolf. It is never enough to know what we believe without knowing why. If all God wanted to communicate to us was what we were supposed to believe the Bible Could have ended with the Pentateuch (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus and Deuteronomy) and for Christians, the Gospels.
You will be like God: This is the greatest deception. Throughout history the downfall on mankind is to accept the mistaken notion that we can be like God; that we somehow have the ability to discern what is good and what is evil on our own without God’s Guidance. Because of man’s fallen state, man is incapable of discerning good and evil without Divine Guidance. Because of man’s fallen nature he will pervert both and the reasons will be man-made not divine.
Eve, trusting the deception begins the process of rationalizing the object of her desire against the direct command of God. Adam, who we are told is with her, does nothing to refute or debate the claims of the serpent and makes no attempt to stop Eve. His sin is trusting wisdom other than the wisdom he received directly from God and his sin is silence. In that silence he allows Eve to continue to be deceived. She eats of the fruit and then seeing that she did not die, also eats the fruit. And so ends Adam and Eve’s eternity and so begins the slow process of death. Because one man sinned we have inherited the seed of sin.
Romans 5
12Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned— 13 To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law. 14 Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.
15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! 16 Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!

Romans Chapter 1
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
The Personal accountability to the Creator in Genesis is inseparable from the Gospel message. The entire Book of Romans is built upon the instances of Genesis. Likewise so are the Gospels. John reaffirms this in his introduction to his Gospel.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
The word overcome is more aptly translated understood. The original word was anakephalaioō which implies the ability to reach a full understanding through a summary or to quote Thomas Jefferson “To place before mankind the common sense of the subject in words so clear as to command their ascent.”
When God’s word is added to or altered the definition or summary will be different. It will cause us to reach a different conclusion. That conclusion then supersedes God’s original direction or intention replacing it with a man-made conclusion elevating man’s wisdom above God’s. To simply state: how much lie can be added to a truth before the truth becomes a lie? Compare this to how much truth can be added to a lie to make it the truth? The minute a lie is injected into the truth the truth is no longer true. Portions of the truth are a lie and the erroneous portions, no matter how small, diminish the truth’s ability to remain true. If something is not completely true then it is a lie. No amount of truth can turn a lie into the truth until the lie is completely rejected.
The root of the Progressive movement is built around challenging the word of God by injecting a differing ideology to redefine the words of God through deception. The less the people (the sheep) understand what they are supposed to believe, the easier it is for the the Progressive (wolf) to disguise themselves as sheep (one of their own flock) to devour them. The Progressive mindset had no issue with identifying them as wolf’s in sheep clothing. It was the symbol of the Fabian Society Movement which advanced the cause of progressivism.
In adding words like social to define justice as understood through God’s Word we are adding a dimension that heretofore did not exist (the serpents ANY TREE argument). It causes us to question what we thought we knew to be true based upon a false argument. From a biblical perspective we do the same thing every time we use the phrase “Social Gospel”.
If you look at most mainstream denomination churches hymnals printed prior to the 1920’s the hymnals begins with Church Discipline. That discipline was often painfully frank explaining the churches position using Biblical principle and the process that could result in being terminated from the church roles. Being removed from the church roles for Biblical Indiscretion became a mark that would affect the individuals status. In the political arena it would often bar them from serving as an elected leader. Churches, in their disciplines, also began adding to the Word of God and so we saw things like prohibition because they recognized the dangers of alcohol and rather than allow for individual accountability sought to remove that tree from the garden completely.
In a church I used to attend the Pastor once gave a message about evils of alcohol. In that message he intentionally lied about the Bible’s account of wine in scripture insisting that the original Greek the word for wine was actually a Greek word for a paste used to make grape juice. When I asked him about it afterward he said that sometimes we have to over-emphasis (translate lie) to protect people for their own good. I did not stay in that church much longer.
These false disciplines expanded making them easy targets for the Progressives. In some denominations the Church Discipline remained a part of Church Government into the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. The were easily exposed for their harshness by this time because the oppression of lies had permeated the Church Disciplines to enforce a morality that did not originate from God. Rather than correct their error they simply removed the disciplines as though they had never existed.
Once the Disciplines disappeared we started the discussion of the Social Gospel and Social Justice. God is Love became the mantra of Progressives who had infiltrated our Churches. Ignoring biblical passages like Those whom God Loves he Disciplines the word of God was diluted creating the false notion of God and some kind old grandfather type individual. This conversation coincided with a progressive move in our larger Institutions of Higher learning, especially within our seminaries (places like Princeton, Harvard, Yale and Columbia-places where our founders once studied the law that framed our nations government). Once the student is corrupted the student becomes the teacher and they perpetuate their species through a false concept of procreation. The end goal is to replace the Creator making the Creation the one who is like God. Once they are Creation has more credence than the Creator the end result is, as Romans Tells us, moral degradation.
Does the Gay believe that they are born that way? Yes and the Progressives will continue to promote this notion. They make this so-called “Biblical” argument to claim that God created them this way which is a perversion of Biblical truth by entering a false argument into the equation. The truth is that we will pursue the desires of our heart and we will turn those desires into our perceived truth even when that truth betrays the Word of God.. When God is not central to those desires we will contaminate the truth with our own deceptions by adding false arguments to believe we have no choice in the matter and as such perpetuate a form of mental prohibition that will not allow God’s truth to come through. We accept the lie as truth and reject the truth as a lie.
The poor have become helpless victims oppressed by anyone wealthier than they are creating still another false argument. This argument promotes that the only way the poor will be free of poverty is to remove the resources of the wealthy. It reinforces that the poor are incapable of breaking free from their bondage to poverty and eventually it creates class warfare.
We define rights by gender. We talk about women’s rights to ignore the fact that we are murdering a child and since we do not acknowledge them with infant rights, they have none. No one should have the right to murder another person except in the cause of self-defense or in times of war. Who would have thought that one day mothers would become the greatest enemy to the child in the womb or that groups would defend the murder of the child in the womb as a right?
Luke 23:29
“For behold, the days are coming when they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.’
We did so by redefining rights through the limited understanding of woman’s right’s. We changed the language to justify the deeds? Those who support this heinous act as a right do so in the name of compassion but it is only compassion for the woman based on her alleged right to choose. Even in that language we never finish the sentence. The rest of that sentence is the woman’s right to choose to murder her child.
By this rationale sin entered into the world and through this rationale it will remain as long as we, like Adam, stand silently to allow the serpent to deceive others or if we continue to add to the word of God for the so-called good of others, in an attempt to protect them. in either case They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator.
This exchanging of truth for lies has been the tool of oppression and tyranny, whether instituted by Organized Religion or by the Progressives. It explains the abuses of the Church through the years often used by those who have rejected those values to explain their reason for doing so. It also explains the abuses of the Progressives who have managed to redefine Judeo-Christian truths into subjective ideologies to render them completely inconsequential in debate on issues of morality.
In their embracing of diversity ideology every truth becomes subject to an adjective that redefines what truth is. We use words like Politically Correct without realizing that since it is only one form of correctness it is, by it’s nature, not completely correct but only in the views of political ideology and therefore it is incorrect when applied to society as a whole. In doing so they have rendered truth as obsolete. Truth, like beauty, is now in the eyes of the beholder.
Since our founders built their truth around Judeo-Christian Values and framed those values into our Constitution, is it any wonder why the result of this progressive mentality has rendered the original intent of the Constitution almost meaningless? This playing with words to diminish the intent while volumes of words are written by the Founders to tell us exactly what they meant continues to function like a barrage against the truth. Will we like Adam, stand and remain silent while those we love are about to take a bite from the serpents apple or will we speak out and expose the lies? Only you can answer that question.
