It assists the flow of beings into their new form on each step of their path. Today, consider your issues with care and awareness for there is work to do. Disperse all resistance and keep your motives clear. As things become clear rectification begins and a new you is formed. Do not be selfish today - as you consider your own needs also consider the needs of others. A period of discomfort may be at hand. Remember, growth comes to us whether we accept it willingly or life shoves it down our throat. None of us are allowed to be stagnant as we move through life. Be aware of the opportunities and growth that can come your way. Be aware that growth brings benefits and rewards even if a period of temporary discomfort may have to be endured. The attributes of patience, generosity and equality come with Berkana. However, if Berkana is challenging you it may be because instead of seeing the good in growth you are holding on to old habits and ways of being that tie you down, rather than prop you up. Berkana calls you to allow yourself room for growth. The benefits of allowing appropriate growth can never be overstated.

For some every day is laced with discord and strife and for most it seems the world is spinning out of control. People are shutting down more and more. Hating one another because of political differences or belief systems runs rampant and it doesn't look as though it will be going away soon. These are the times to remember who you really are and pull yourself up by the bootstraps and without sounding cliche clean your house with a swift broom. Putting yourself in good order is the first step in fighting and not running. There are None Noble Virtues known to the Vikings - people who never gave up or backed down. Applying these to daily life - your life - can help you stand in adverse times. It is time to do the work.
