"Our nation has turned its back on God. Politicians are looking for what people want and what culture wants instead of what God wants. We need to stand on the absolute authority of God’s Word, and I believe the Bible to be the Word of God. By turning our back on God, our nation is sliding farther and farther away from Him. Instead of becoming a better country, we are becoming more violent, lawless and godless. Our policies are failing, our economy is struggling and our country is in trouble. We need to take a hard look at God’s laws and His standards. That’s not what most Americans want to hear. Violence is rampant in our streets. Gangs and thugs roam and kill, not only at night but in broad daylight. Leftist radicals riot, burn police stations and loot city blocks. Drug abuse has soared, with fentanyl finding its way into virtually every sector of society, infiltrating rural and metropolitan areas alike.Primary, secondary and so-called higher education continue their assault on religious liberties, constantly seeking to remove any vestige of faith, and imposing their progressive values on even the youngest of children. Need I say more?" - Franklin Graham
It seems many people today equate all of these happenings with the "End Times." After all, we are all seeing things we have never seen before and it is very eay to apply various scriptures to events as "proof."
Here is an example from 2 Timothy 3:1-9
Let me tell you this. During the last days of this world, there will be times of great trouble. People will love only themselves, and they will want lots of money for themselves. They will be proud and they will say how great they are. They will insult other people. They will not obey their parents. They will not thank anyone who helps them. They will not respect anything that is good. 3 They will not be kind to other people, but they will like to quarrel. They will tell lies to hurt other people. They will be unable to control themselves properly. They will be cruel and they will hate anything that is good. People will turn against their friends. They will do foolish things. They will boast that they are very important. They will not love God, but instead they will only want to enjoy themselves. Those people will seem to be serving God. But really they refuse to accept God's power to help them.
When this happens I am reminded of keeping my house in order for no one knows when the time will come and it will come like a thief in the night. Still people seem hellbent (pun intended) that the end is nigh. If so, would it not be more adventageous to get one's house in order and step back into the Divine Light?
In my many years of ministry, I've noticed that people literally use fear like a crutch. Oddly enough, they feel safe being afraid. Why? Because it is a familiar and comfortable place to be. Unfortunately it does nothing for offering a solution. What are people afraid of? Most feel they have turned their back on God so therefor He must have turned His back on them. Let me make this clear - God does NOT turn His back on anyone. So that excuse does not hold water. There is also the aethiest view whereby God does not exist so why not just go off and do what thou wilt (famous phrase attributed to Aleister Crowley). People often ask me why does God allow that? The answer is because non-belief and all the other assorted evils that go on in current times serve His purpose. Hate to say it but they are lessons. Speaking of those lessons, we are in a pretty big one right now. Then there is the name diversity theories. God and Satan are just dualistic terms that belong to the lower planes. The titles are merely genetic. In some senses I do agree with this as an all powerful almost inconceivable force of absolute Divine Nature created the whole Universe and everything in it including the counterbalance of the negative and that which divides and shuns the light. In my ministry, we refer to the Divine Power as the Absolute as it makes a firm statement.
However you think about it and whatever you call it, it is time to reinstate your courage and step back on your true path and let the light guide you.
