Daily Theme: THURISAZ is known as the Rune of RECLAMATION. Imagine you are standing at a threshold. Your entire life lies behind you and below you. Crossing the threshold represents a new chapter - a new start in your life. What do you need to do before you cross the threshold? Contemplate all that has brought you to this point in your life. You will see and understand all that needs to be exposed and examined before transformation takes place. This pause requires patience but will be well worth the wait. Once you see everything clearly, bless it all and release it all, then take a step across the threshold. It is a natural progression of mundane life and the growth of spiritual life ... after all - “if we do not learn the lessons of history we are doomed to repeat them.” Today be aware of false people or those who give your false information. They would be operating from the negative side of Thurisaz. It can be duly noted that in the ancient arts, especially dark arts, this Rune represented the demon, the thorn and the War god Thor. It is aggressive energy. Use it wisely. Look for the illumination it can also bring.

Today, crystal practitioners and advocates should work with Star Sapphire (aids in recognition of one's life purpose).

There is an old Viking saying: “It is better to stand and fight. If you run, you'll only die tired.” It seems in these times people are having a very hard time coping with life more than usual. For some every day is laced with discord and strife and for most it seems the world is spinning out of control. People are shutting down more and more. Hating one another because of political differences or belief systems runs rampant and it doesn't look as though it will be going away soon. These are the times to remember who you really are and pull yourself up by the bootstraps and without sounding cliche clean your house with a swift broom. Putting yourself in good order is the first step in fighting and not running. There are None Noble Virtues known to the Vikings - people who never gave up or backed down. Applying these to daily life - your life - can help you stand in adverse times. It is time to do the work.
