Debunked! - Electrosensitivity

Electrosensitivity is an alleged energy allergy — an allergic reaction to electromagnetic fields and radiation. It is the basis for paranoia particularly about the health effects of Wi-Fi networks, power lines, and cell phones — fears that top the charts of human irrationality. There’s little doubt that the afflicted are suffering, but it is either an unrelated medical condition or psychosomatic.

Alleged symptoms: (there are opposing opinions about this condition)

Muscle aches and pains -

Muscle aches could be signs of electromagnetic sensitivities. The  pains come and go, randomly.

Depression

Depression is a symptom of mental illness, but it can also be caused by absorption of a high level of magnetic energies.

Sleep disturbances

Another reason you’re suffering from insomnia could be due to this sensitivity. It has been suggested to remove electronic devices from the area where you sleep. (hmmm - then how is it people for years have been falling to sleep with their TVs on?)

Stress/Anxiety

Electromagnetic sensitivity will also cause heightened anxiety and stress in otherwise calm personalities.

Headache and Fatigue

Experiencing headache and fatigue can occur for many reasons. Having a headache every day is probably an indication of something worse, like an effect of high energy level absorption.

Sensitivty to Ghosts and Spirits

In some camps it is believed that because energy cannot destroyed and since ghosts are energy appliances can bring about more awareness to them.

Rashes and Odd Sensations

Large concentrations of electronic equiptment in one's environment is the cause. People are cautioned to clean up their immediate environment if they suddenly break out in a rash or their skin feels prickly especially if they have no known allergies.

So far, results of EHS studies have been inconsistent. In fact, subjects experienced symptoms whether or not they were exposed to real electromagnetic fields. Double-blind experiments (where neither the subject nor the researcher know if the subject is being exposed to real or sham electromagnetic fields) showed no evidence of symptoms being caused by electromagnetic fields.
