The Stepping Stone

A barely visible path, wanders through the dark and treacherous woods.  A traveller walking this path gets weary and sad as the path is not easy to walk.  It wanders seemingly forever; up a very steep mountain.  Many travellers give up and turn back to an easier path, yet many still try to reach the top of the mountain.

Now for something sad:

The heart was yearning with great need,

A small chance was taken, with hope…

The wish made in deep devotion

and of sacrifice and pain,

It was an endless and unselfish wish.

Live Speed by,

With such speed.

As each soul seeks

Their place in the sun.

I May not always be there,

Not always be there

But deep in me

Lies a heart that cares

Gently, gently a breeze stirs the leaves

Mother Nature is painting

With rainbows of color

Golden sunrise and dark shadows

Green skipping brooks and

Rainbow colored wings

I Fly on the wings of a Silver Falcon.

Feeling the breath of the wind on my face.

Then I sense the essence of my true loves breath.

Silver Wings and Golden Sun.

Take me to the only one…

Who’s breath touches

Golden orb tinged in pink, dip low on the horizon,
Silver orb tinged in red, rise to the sky.
Dusk rolling over the hills,
fading the world to touch each soul.

Muscles ripple under dusty skin,
Breath still, eyes alert, locked.
A nose twitch, a tail flick
Tension rise, muscles tighten, ready!

Slow, deliberate, patient

A face and a snake, defined in love,
behind a door of gold and blue
come hither to pass through
the portal to the fortress of God

Land of the forbidden
the land of the ever after
guarded by the Basalisk
both light and dark

Dripping fang, and gleaming eyes
blowing and hissing in anger
It patrols the chaos that wait
for the two that will heal the land

Enter God and the white snake

                                      Anything Can Be

A few months ago, I was reading up on a First Nations Shaman, named Black Elk (Heȟáka Sápa), a member of the Oglala Lakota (Sioux) tribe, who lived from December 1863 to August 1950. The things Black Elk said back then are still relevant today. One of the things he said struck me deeply.

Listen to the don'ts
Listen to the have nots
